We at INFOAVIATION.com regard your privacy as a very important.
Privacy and the use of cookies are in ways linked, below you can find why. Where and what kind of cookies we use and what we do to guard your privacy.
To attract partners, and by that remain in business, it helps when we can show some data about how many visitors we have on our site, which countries do they come from, which pages of our website do they visit and what kind of operating system (e.g. Windows) and browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) they use. These data we collect completely anonymous and without cookies. We only provide possible partners with total numbers. We from INFOAVIATION.com do not build profiles and do not sell or give away data other then total numbers. By going on the internet you provide these data voluntary. Whenever you send an e-mail, subscribe to a newsletter or when you buy something on the internet you provide voluntary more personal details.
We from INFOAVIATION.com do not make use of cookies ourselves! Furthermore, the data you provide us by sending us an e-mail we will not share with or sell to others.
Partners who place advertisements of any kind pay us for the possibility to do so on our website. This payment, which we need to stay in business, has to be calculated. There are several ways of calculating, systems, and here cookies play their part:
1) Pay per view (how often is an image shown to visitors)
2) Pay per click (payment per number of our website visitors who link through to the advertisers website)
3) Pay per lead (e.g. a registration to a newsletter)
4) Pay per sale (like in a webshop)
5) Pay per lifetime (like the pay per sale, difference is that when you buy later (mostly within 1 month) the sale is also counted as coming through
the partners website)
6) Pay per period (fixed fee for having an advertisement on the website).
On the INFOAVIATION.com website advertisers are only offered the possibilities 2, 4, 5 and 6. For the webshop we use methods 4 and 5, all other banners/advertisements are only open for option numbers 2 and 6. This last payment method is possible without any cookies but it is almost impossible for the advertiser to calculate the effect of the advertisement. Despite the fact that this might not be the most income providing method for us we prefer this method as this way keeps our site as free from cookies as possible and provides a more certain income.
Cookies from our partners are only placed on your computer when you actually select that advertisement and their page opens in a new window. Those cookies have a lifetime of up to 45 days. The reason behind this is that as long as that cookie is on your computer we will get paid whenever you purchase i.e. a ticket. In those cases where you scan and clean your computer from cookies within that lifetime period we will not get paid the next time you visit their website directly. Furthermore in some countries you can opt out from cookies being placed on your computer. When you have opted out we will only get paid for options 4 and 5 as long as you make your booking/purchase directly on the website of our partner. We will not get paid after you have closed that window. Of course you are free to do as you like but when you want to make sure we get paid our share (with no extra cost for you) the easiest way is to make sure that after you have decided what to purchase/book start over beginning at our website.
Finally the always excisting exception to the rule, when legaly required by Dutch law we might have to share any data we hold, even in those cases where we can not link these data to any specific identity/person. To remain in business we must under those circumstances oblige to the law.
